Superior A.R.T. has run assisted reproduction in Bangkok since 2007, set up by Thai fertility specialists working with Australian partners. It is a clinic rather than a hospital, on the lobby floor of an office building on New Petchburi Road, and it does nothing but fertility: IVF and ICSI, genetic testing of embryos, egg freezing and sperm retrieval. Unlike most clinics in the city, it publishes prices for its main packages. It does not hold JCI accreditation, so it is listed here as an exception to our usual rule, on the strength of its fertility work and its laboratory certification.

It is also a clinic, not a hospital: it has no inpatient beds, no intensive care unit and no emergency department, and it does not publish which hospital it uses if a complication such as severe ovarian hyperstimulation needs admission. About Superior A.R.T.
Superior A.R.T. was established in 2007 as a centre for assisted reproduction and preimplantation genetic testing. It describes itself as combining Thai fertility specialists with science and technology transferred from Australia, and its managing and scientific director is James Marshall. The clinic sits on the lobby floor of Vanit Building II at 1126/2 New Petchburi Road, Makkasan, in Bangkok's Ratchathewi district, and is open every day from 8am to 5pm. It reports that it has helped more than 15,000 couples from over 40 countries.
The clinical team is led by Dr Nisarath Soontrapa, the clinical director, with Dr Sirichet Anekpornwattana and Dr Sasikan Tangthasana, all three obstetricians and gynaecologists specialising in reproductive endocrinology and infertility. The clinic also lists two anaesthetists and three urological surgeons, who cover sedation for procedures and male fertility surgery. The clinic is split into an outpatient wing and an operating room wing, with an embryo transfer room, an embryology laboratory and a genetics laboratory.
Treatment covers infertility assessment, intrauterine insemination, IVF and ICSI with blastocyst culture, and freezing of eggs, sperm and embryos by vitrification. The genetics laboratory carries out preimplantation genetic testing, including PGT-A, PGT-M and PGT-SR, using next-generation sequencing, and the clinic says it screens embryos for more than 200 genetic diseases. It also offers genetic carrier testing for couples and non-invasive prenatal testing in pregnancy. For men there is semen analysis, sperm selection by MACS and pICSI, and surgical sperm retrieval by PESA or TESE, and the clinic also performs hysteroscopy to look inside the womb.
The clinic's FAQ explains that Thai law allows IVF only for married heterosexual couples, and it asks for a certified copy of the marriage certificate and passports. It states that it does not provide surrogacy. There is no inpatient accommodation at the clinic.
