Expert medical and surgical care in Thailand

Editorial Policy

Current as of: June 2026

How We Maintain Standards

Patients considering medical treatment abroad deserve content they can trust. Thailand Care is a patient-coordination service — we connect patients with accredited hospitals and specialists in Thailand, and we are not a hospital or medical provider ourselves. Every procedure page, clinical guide and health-related article on this site is written to inform — never to persuade. This policy explains the standards and processes behind that content.

From Research to Publication

Our content is researched and written in-house, drawing on published sources rather than opinion:

  1. Source gathering — The editorial team draws on trusted public-health and patient-information sources such as the NHS and recognised surgical bodies, established clinical guidelines, hospital accreditation standards and the published materials of the hospitals we work with
  2. Writing — Content is drafted in accessible language, balancing clinical detail with readability
  3. Editorial review — Before publication, each piece is checked for factual accuracy, balanced risk disclosure, correct use of medical terminology, and clear, consistent language
  4. Ongoing review — Published content is re-assessed periodically against current clinical evidence and updated when guidance changes

The information on this site is general, not personal. It is not a substitute for a consultation, and nothing here replaces the advice of the surgeon or specialist who actually assesses you.

Principles That Guide Our Content

Every piece of medical content on this site follows these principles:

  • Grounded in evidence — Procedure descriptions, risk profiles and recovery expectations draw on published research and established clinical practice
  • Forthright about limitations — We are upfront that individual results vary, that every surgical procedure carries inherent risk, and that no outcome can be guaranteed
  • Even-handed — Benefits and risks receive equal attention. We do not minimise complications or overstate what treatment can achieve
  • Informational, not prescriptive — Nothing published here replaces a direct consultation with a qualified surgeon or medical professional
  • Transparent on cost — Prices are starting estimates. We make clear that final costs depend on clinical assessment and may differ by hospital and surgeon

Where Our Information Comes From

Content on this site draws on:

  • Trusted public-health and patient-information sources, such as the NHS and recognised surgical bodies (for example the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons)
  • Guidance from recognised international clinical bodies
  • Joint Commission International (JCI) accreditation standards
  • Thai Medical Council and Thai FDA regulatory frameworks

Editorial Independence

Thailand Care earns referral fees from partner hospitals. That commercial relationship has no influence on what we publish. Procedure information, risk disclosures and clinical guidance are produced independently — hospital partnerships never shape editorial decisions.
