Last reviewed 12 October 2026 · How we evaluate
SAFE Fertility Center opened in Bangkok in 2007 and is now run by SAFE Fertility Group, with five branches in Thailand. Its head office is a clinic on the 17th floor of the Gaysorn Amarin tower on Ploenchit Road, linked by skywalk to BTS Chit Lom. It does nothing but fertility: IVF and ICSI, genetic testing of embryos, egg and sperm freezing and sperm retrieval. It says it was the first clinic in Thailand to gain RTAC accreditation, a standard written for fertility units. It does not hold JCI accreditation, so it is listed here as an exception to our usual rule.

Our Assessment of SAFE Fertility Center
SAFE is a reasonable choice for couples who want IVF in central Bangkok at a large, fertility-only clinic with a recognised fertility accreditation. Its Bangkok head office and Phuket branch hold RTAC accreditation from the Fertility Society of Australia and New Zealand, which audits fertility units specifically, and the clinic says it was the first in Thailand to gain it. It names its doctors with their Thai medical licence numbers, runs its own genetic testing laboratory through its sister company NGG Thailand, and reports more than 1,700 IVF and ICSI cycles a year. Its location, linked by skywalk to BTS Chit Lom and surrounded by hotels, is convenient for visitors.
The main trade-off is accreditation. SAFE does not hold Joint Commission International accreditation, the standard every other facility on this site meets, and RTAC covers fertility practice rather than whole-facility patient safety. We could not find a public RTAC register entry, so the accreditation rests on the clinic's own certificate and statements. It is also a clinic in an office tower, not a hospital: it has no intensive care unit or emergency department, and it does not publish which hospital it uses if a complication such as severe ovarian hyperstimulation needs admission. It does not publish treatment prices on its website, and its success rate claims are not independently audited.
It suits healthy couples and women freezing eggs who want an established, fertility-accredited clinic close to central Bangkok's hotels and the BTS. Patients with other medical conditions, or who want JCI accreditation and a hospital on site, should compare it with fertility centres inside accredited general hospitals.

Accreditations, Verified
SAFE Fertility Center does not hold Joint Commission International (JCI) accreditation, and it does not claim Thailand's national hospital (HA) accreditation. Its Gaysorn Amarin head office and Phuket branch hold accreditation from the Reproductive Technology Accreditation Committee (RTAC) of the Fertility Society of Australia and New Zealand, and the clinic holds ISO 9001:2015 quality management certification. We could not find a public RTAC register, so these rest on the clinic's own certificates and statements. We have listed only what we could confirm.
RTAC Accredited
Reproductive Technology Accreditation Committee of the Fertility Society of Australia and New Zealand, a standard written specifically for fertility clinics. The clinic states that its Gaysorn Amarin head office and Phuket branch are accredited and that it was the first clinic in Thailand to gain RTAC accreditation, and The Nation repeated this in September 2026. Its certificate is dated December 2024 by its file name. We could not find a public RTAC register entry, so this rests on the clinic's own certificate and statements. SAFE does not hold Joint Commission International (JCI) accreditation.
See the sourceISO 9001:2015
Quality management system certification with the scope "Fertility Clinic", issued by United Registrar of Systems (Thailand). It covers how the clinic manages its processes, not clinical patient safety. We could not check it in a public register, so this rests on the clinic's published certificate.

Specialties & Strengths
SAFE treats fertility and nothing else, so its services are grouped below by stage of treatment. The links point to the closest matching procedure guides on our site.
What SAFE Fertility Center Costs
SAFE does not publish treatment prices on its website. Its package documents list what each IVF, egg freezing, embryo transfer and check-up package includes, such as monitoring visits, medication, egg collection, the anaesthetist's fee and embryo freezing, but not the price. Costs are quoted after contact and depend on the protocol, medication, genetic testing and storage. We place it in the mid range of Bangkok fertility clinics as an editorial judgement, and recommend asking for an itemised written quote before you commit.

International Patient Services at SAFE Fertility Center
SAFE runs an international patients service, with separate pages for patients from India and Bangladesh. The details below reflect what the clinic publishes, so confirm arrangements directly before you travel.
Personal Assistant and Languages
Each patient is given a personal assistant who helps with translation at consultations. The clinic lists English, Mandarin, Japanese, Vietnamese and Hindi among its languages, and its website is in English, Thai and Chinese.
Contact Channels
The clinic can be reached through its call centre and WhatsApp on +66 81 102 1000, the head office on +66 2 252 3833, LINE, and email at [email protected].
Visa and Length of Stay
The clinic provides documents to support the correct visa. It says most international patients plan 10 to 14 days in total, usually split into a trip for egg collection of about 7 to 10 days and a trip for embryo transfer of about 4 to 5 days.
If something goes wrong after you fly home
SAFE Fertility Center provides a post-operative care plan before you leave, and follow-up communication with your surgical team can be arranged through its international patient office.
As your coordinator we stay in the loop after you land. If a concern comes up we help you reach your surgeon, get records to a local doctor, and understand what the hospital will and will not cover. We tell you this before you book, not after.
How Booking Works at SAFE Fertility Center
- Contact the international team through the call centre or WhatsApp on +66 81 102 1000, by LINE, or through the inquiry form on the clinic's website.
- Share previous test results and treatment history, ask for an itemised quote and a timeline, and confirm the documents you need, including a marriage certificate for IVF.
- Attend your first appointment at the Gaysorn Amarin head office on the 17th floor, where the doctor will confirm the treatment plan.
When you enquire through us, our care team handles these steps with the hospital on your behalf and confirms everything back to you before you commit to anything.
About SAFE Fertility Center
SAFE Fertility Center was founded in 2007 by Dr Wiwat Quangkananurug, an obstetrician and gynaecologist specialising in assisted reproduction, who remains its chief executive. It moved to the Amarin Tower, now Gaysorn Amarin, in 2009, and the head office sits on the 17th floor at 496-502 Ploenchit Road, near the Ratchaprasong intersection. The clinic is run by SAFE Fertility Group Public Company Limited, which has grown to five branches: Gaysorn Amarin and Ramindra in Bangkok, Sriracha, Khon Kaen and Phuket. The group marked its 20th year in 2026 and reports more than 170 staff.
Seven of the clinicians listed by the group work at the Gaysorn Amarin branch, six doctors and a traditional Chinese medicine practitioner, and each doctor's Thai medical licence number is published. The group reports more than 1,700 IVF and ICSI cycles and more than 850 genetic testing cases a year.
Treatment covers IVF and ICSI, intrauterine insemination, embryo transfer, and freezing of eggs, sperm and embryos. Embryos can be cultured in an EmbryoScope Plus time-lapse incubator, and sperm can be selected by IMSI or MACS. Genetic testing of embryos, including PGT-A and PGT-M, is done by SAFE's sister company NGG Thailand using next-generation sequencing, and the clinic also offers expanded carrier screening for couples. For men there is semen analysis, sperm freezing and surgical sperm retrieval by TESE or PESA. The clinic also runs couple check-ups and offers acupuncture alongside treatment.
The clinic's IVF package includes an anaesthetist's fee for egg collection and use of a recovery room, though it does not say what type of anaesthesia or sedation is used. The clinic does not publish which hospital it refers patients to if a complication needs admission. Its embryologists hold ESHRE certification, and its laboratories take part in UK NEQAS and EQASRM external quality assessment schemes.

Common Questions About SAFE Fertility Center
What patients typically want to know before choosing this hospital
How We Evaluated SAFE Fertility Center
Our hospital profiles are independently researched by our editorial team. No clinic can pay to be listed here, ranked higher or reviewed favourably. SAFE Fertility Center does not hold JCI accreditation and is included as an exception to our usual rule, so we have been explicit about what it does and does not hold. We verified only what the clinic publishes and what appears in dated, independent coverage. Here is what we assessed. Our checks are desk-based, verified against the issuing bodies' registers and the hospital's own published materials rather than a hospital-arranged visit. Read the full methodology.
We confirmed each accreditation directly with the issuing bodies and against published records, rather than relying on marketing claims, so the badges you see are real.
We checked the qualifications of the clinicians who would treat you and the depth of the specialist teams, technology and inpatient support standing behind them.
We assessed whether there is a genuine international patient service — multilingual staff, visa help and structured coordination — rather than just a translated website.
We looked for documented care plans, follow-up scheduling and clear channels, so you can still reach your care team once you have flown home.
We evaluated whether estimates are itemised and given in writing upfront, covering treatment, stay and follow-up, rather than arriving as one opaque figure.
We reviewed patient reports across multiple independent sources, looking for consistent themes in satisfaction, complaints and treatment outcomes.
How we make money
Hospitals cannot pay for placement, ranking or a favourable review anywhere on this site. We earn a coordination fee from the hospital only when you choose to book through us, and it never changes your price. That conflict is why we publish our evaluation criteria and sources on every profile, and link accreditations to the issuing bodies.
If you believe any information on this profile is inaccurate or outdated, please contact our editorial team and we will check it against the source.
