Last reviewed 12 October 2026 · How we evaluate
Phyathai 2 International Hospital opened on Phaholyothin Road in 1987 and is the flagship of the Phyathai Hospitals Group. Its Health Promotion Center runs health check-up programmes by age and sex, from compact annual screens to executive-style packages with cardiac imaging and cancer markers, and the hospital publishes prices for several of them. Behind the check-up service sits a full 550-bed general hospital, so any finding can be followed up by specialists in the same building, with an international team to coordinate the visit.

Our Assessment of Phyathai 2 International Hospital
Phyathai 2 is a sensible choice for a health check-up in Bangkok because it combines a dedicated screening centre with a large accredited general hospital. It holds Joint Commission International accreditation and Thailand's Advanced HA certification, and it publishes package contents and prices on its own site, which makes like-for-like comparison easier than at hospitals that only quote on request. Its premium programmes include tests such as CT coronary artery calcium scoring, bone density, mammography and tumour markers, and abnormal results can be referred straight to the hospital's heart, digestive or cancer specialists.
The trade-off is that packages change often. Promotions run for fixed periods, several older package pages remain online with expired dates, and prices shown on the site can differ from what is quoted at the counter. The hospital does not publish outcome data, and much of its English site is thin on detail about international services, so verification rests mainly on its accreditation records and its published package terms.
It suits expatriates in Bangkok and visitors planning a short trip who want a thorough, fixed-price screening in an accredited hospital close to the BTS, with specialist follow-up on site. Patients seeking treatment for a specific complex condition should judge the relevant specialist centre on its own merits rather than on the strength of the check-up service.

Accreditations, Verified

JCI Accredited
Joint Commission International. The hospital states that it is accredited by JCI, and the Phyathai Hospitals Group article on Wikipedia, citing the JCI directory, records accreditation from 2014. JCI is the leading global standard for hospital quality and patient safety. We were unable to independently retrieve a current listing from the JCI online directory, so the current award date rests on the hospital's own statements.

What Phyathai 2 International Hospital Costs
Phyathai 2 sits in the mid range of Bangkok's large private hospitals, and unlike many of its peers it publishes prices for its health check-up packages. Most packages are sold as time-limited promotions, so prices and contents change through the year and older package pages can remain online after they expire. The prices below were taken from the hospital's own package pages on 12 October 2026. For treatment beyond screening, the hospital does not publish standard prices, so we recommend requesting an itemised quote.

As your coordinator we stay in the loop after you land. If a concern comes up we help you reach your surgeon, get records to a local doctor, and understand what the hospital will and will not cover. We tell you this before you book, not after.

It is part of the Phyathai Hospitals Group, which describes it as its JCI-accredited flagship, and has 550 beds across two buildings. Health check-ups are run through the Health Promotion Center, which the hospital describes as its premium check-up service, with a separate general check-up centre. Programmes are organised by age group and sex, with packages for working adults, for men and women over 40, an expert programme, a senior executive programme, liver disease risk screening and pre-marriage check-ups. The centre offers vaccinations, a VIP lounge for its Expert and Exclusive programmes and an escort service on selected packages, and it promotes a collaboration with Oregon Health & Science University on lifestyle risk assessment. Doctors and nurses review results with each patient and give advice on nutrition, exercise and lifestyle.
The hospital publishes package contents and prices on its website. Its current premium programmes include CT coronary artery calcium scoring, exercise stress testing or echocardiography, bone density, whole-abdomen ultrasound, thyroid and vitamin D tests and tumour markers, with mammography, breast ultrasound and cervical screening in the women's versions and PSA in the men's. For expatriate families it also runs a children's check-up programme for ages 5 to 15.
Beyond screening, Phyathai 2 is a full general hospital with more than 40 listed centres and clinics. The hospital highlights its Heart Center, Musculoskeletal Center and Gastrointestinal Center, and also runs cancer, neurology, brain and spine, infertility, haemodialysis and 24-hour emergency services. Common Questions About Phyathai 2 International Hospital
What patients typically want to know before choosing this hospital
How We Evaluated Phyathai 2 International Hospital
Our hospital profiles are independently researched by our editorial team. No hospital can pay to be listed here, ranked higher or reviewed favourably. For Phyathai 2 International Hospital we focused on its health check-up service and verified only what the hospital publishes and what appears in official certification records. Here is what we assessed. Our checks are desk-based, verified against the issuing bodies' registers and the hospital's own published materials rather than a hospital-arranged visit. Read the full methodology.
We confirmed each accreditation directly with the issuing bodies and against published records, rather than relying on marketing claims, so the badges you see are real.
We checked the qualifications of the clinicians who would treat you and the depth of the specialist teams, technology and inpatient support standing behind them.
We assessed whether there is a genuine international patient service — multilingual staff, visa help and structured coordination — rather than just a translated website.
We looked for documented care plans, follow-up scheduling and clear channels, so you can still reach your care team once you have flown home.
We evaluated whether estimates are itemised and given in writing upfront, covering treatment, stay and follow-up, rather than arriving as one opaque figure.
We reviewed patient reports across multiple independent sources, looking for consistent themes in satisfaction, complaints and treatment outcomes.
How we make money
Hospitals cannot pay for placement, ranking or a favourable review anywhere on this site. We earn a coordination fee from the hospital only when you choose to book through us, and it never changes your price. That conflict is why we publish our evaluation criteria and sources on every profile, and link accreditations to the issuing bodies.
If you believe any information on this profile is inaccurate or outdated, please contact our editorial team and we will check it against the source.
